GA – Shane Riner of
Guyton, GA has announced that he will be seeking the Rookie
of the Year title as well as the Point Championship for the
Carolina Clash Series in 2008. Riner and his number 6 team
have been preparing their new Rocket chassis Dirt Late Model for
the season opener for the Carolina Clash Series at Carolina
Speedway in Gastonia, NC. The March 8, 2008 season opener
for the Carolina Clash will have Riner and his team competing
for $5,000 during the 50 lap feature event at Carolina Speedway.
Shane
will be competing against several other drivers from the
Carolina Clash Series for the 2008 Rookie of the Year Status,
including: Chris Ferguson (22), Daniel Baggerly (16), Terry
Lumley (14), and several others that will be announced as the
season opener approaches. Many drivers will be competing for the
2008 points championship with the Carolina Clash throughout
2008.
